A Heads Up About Event Photos:
We take photos and videos at events to share the community vibe on our site and social media. If you'd rather not be in them, just let event staff know when you arrive — no problem at all. You can also ask us to remove a photo after the fact.

Who We Share Data With
We do not sell your personal information. Period. We only share your data when necessary to run Charlotte Together:
- Authentication: Firebase (Google) handles your login securely
- Ticketing: Charlotte Together stores registrations and issues tickets; Stripe processes paid ticket and marketplace transactions.
- Payments and payouts: Stripe processes donations, recurring gifts, refunds, and organizer payouts
- Email: Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) sends our newsletters and updates
- Error tracking: Sentry helps us catch and fix bugs — it may receive technical error data but never your personal information
- Push notifications: Firebase Cloud Messaging delivers notifications if you opt in
- With your explicit consent, or to comply with legal obligations
How Long We Keep Your Data
We only keep your data as long as we need it:
- Account data: As long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your data within 30 days.
- Event data: Ticket and RSVP records are kept for 2 years for our records, then deleted.
- Analytics data: Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel data follows their standard retention policies (14 months for GA4).
- Emails: If you unsubscribe, we remove you from our mailing list immediately.
Your Data, Your Call
Your info belongs to you. You can ask us to:
- Show you what data we have about you
- Fix anything that's wrong
- Delete your information entirely
- Stop sending you emails

Children's Privacy
